Bitter orange peel powder is traditionally added to belgian beers such as witbiers to impart a traditional pleasent citrus flavour and aroma into the beverage.

The citrus flavour introduced by bitter orange peel added during the boil plays well with coriander seeds added during primary fermentation to produce a traditional Belgian Witbier flavour and aroma.

Vacuum packed to seal in the volatile aroma.

Bitter orange peel is normally added to during the last 15 minutes of the boil. The dosage varies between styles from 8-24 grams per 20 litres.

For a more intense orange-forward and less citrusy flavour then sweet orange peel powder can be used in addition to or instead of bitter orange peel powder.
